Sandals Golf & Country Club started life as Upton Golf Club in 1951 and then became Sandals Golf & Country Club in June 1992. This 18 Hole course, designed by PK Saunders, started as a 9 Hole course but quickly grew to its current championship design.
The course is only 15 minutes by car from Ocho Rios, nestled in the hills 750ft above sea level, great combination of elevation and undulation, forgiving and comparatively short at 6404 yards from tips and small greens with drop offs. Golf Digest Magazine granted it a four star rating for courses to play while on vacation.
